Through your gift to the Orange Public Library Foundation, you may honor a family member or friend by endowment of a major library project.
A gift that keeps on giving
Several years ago, the Warne Family Charitable Foundation gave a generous gift of $50,000 to the Orange Public Library Foundation. Their intent was specific and absolutely wonderful: The $50,000 was an endowment — a gift that keeps on giving. The Warnes’ local history endowment has provided support to digitize local history photos and other records. The Library has also used funds from this endowment to purchase local High School Yearbooks. Endowments are a legacy to our community and our libraries, helping to preserve local history, purchase library materials, and strengthen the education and information available to people of all ages and stages.
More Types of Endowments
Through your gift to the Orange Public Library Foundation, you may honor a family member or friend by endowment of a major library project.
Pooled Endowment Funds generate interest which is utilized to support key Orange Public Library initiatives for purchase and preservation of books and materials, children's programming, and technology. A donation of $5,000 or more sets up an individually named account that is collectively invested in perpetuity. Two such accounts already exist: One for local history, and the other for new library books and other materials.
Adopt-A-Stack Endowments provide more books, music, and/or DVDs in the subject area of the donor's greatest interest. A $25,000 contribution (payable over several years if desired) is recognized with the donor's name on a plaque on a library bookcase.
